Kealia Ohai returned to the field first, in April, at the same arena where she’d felt her knee pop. Last month, the forward got called up to the U.S. women’s national team training camp, an opportunity she was worried might disappear after her injury. “That was cool for J.J. to see,” she says. “I think that gives him confidence in himself that he’s going to [come back strong], too."
