Austin Rivers falsely claims he was ACC Player of the Year

Austin Rivers mentioned in an interview with ESPN that he was ACC player of the year in 2011-12, his lone season at Duke. However, that was not the case. Former UNC forward Tyler Zeller won the honor that season. Zeller received 45 votes, ex-Virginia forward Mike Scott got 14 and Tar Heels players Harrison Barnes (2) and John Henson (1) rounded out the list. Rivers received 0 votes. (247 Sports)
