UNC Examining Impact of New Tax Law on Athletics

North Carolina’s athletic department is still digesting potential consequences brought about by recent changes in tax legislation. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, signed into law on Dec. 22, could provide a hit from multiple directions to the bottom line of major athletic programs such as UNC’s. “The tax law is concerning,” UNC athletic director Bubba Cunningham said.
