First-half goals propel UNC

First-half goals by freshman defender Ali Hawkins and sophomore midfielder Yael Averbuch led second-ranked North Carolina to a women's soccer victory, 2-0 over Clemson on Thursday at Riggs Field in Clemson, S.C. The Tar Heels won their first conference road game. UNC outshot the Tigers 21-4 and had five corner kicks to one for Clemson.
