NCAA stands firm on findings that Rick Pitino didn't monitor team

The NCAA is standing firm in its belief that Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino failed to monitor his team, a Level I violation that could carry a multigame suspension if proven true. In documents obtained by ESPN.com, the NCAA affirms its position -- and rejects a January rebuttal submitted by the university and lawyers for Pitino -- that Pitino did not uphold his duties as head coach.
