UNC men's soccer boots Syracuse out of NCAA Tournament

Jeremy Kelly's first-half goal stood up as the difference as North Carolina beat Syracuse 1-0 in a NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 soccer game on Sunday at Onondaga Community College. No. 8 Syracuse, a tournament semifinalist last year, finished 12-4-4. The No. 9-seeded Tar Heels (13-3-3) advance to the tournament quarterfinals, where they will take on Providence.
