Griffin Plays Well But Falls In Close Match at US Amateur

Garrett Rank defeated UNC junior Ben Griffin 1 up in the round of 64 at the 2016 United States Golf Amateur Championship played at the Oakland Hills Country Club. Griffin entered the round of 64 match play after shooting 66-72 and tying for 11th place in stroke play. The Chapel Hill native shot 1-over-par today, but Rank won five holes to four to advance.
