Pat Summitt memorial was a celebration, not a pity party

Pat would have been OK with this gathering. It was no pity party. That’s not to say the tears didn’t flow Thursday night at the Pat Summitt Celebration of Life service. Summitt died on June 28 from early onset Alzheimer’s disease. The long farewell to this singular human reached a crescendo 17 days later in a ceremony that ran an emotional gamut at Thompson-Boling Arena. The crowd ran the gamut, too. (The Tennessean)
