Duke QB Thomas Sirk ruptures Achilles tendon; no timetable for return Posted Feb 9, 2016 Duke quarterback Thomas Sirk, a rising redshirt senior for the Blue Devils, ruptured his left Achilles tendon Tuesday during a conditioning workout, head coach David Cutcliffe announced. Cutcliffe said Sirk is scheduled to have surgery Wednesday and he will be out indefinitely. Sirk missed the 2013 season after rupturing his right Achilles in April of the year. (WRAL Sports Fan)
