Virginia still awaiting eligibility decision on four-star forward


Nine days after the start of classes at Virginia, prize men’s basketball recruit Mamadi Diakite remained in limbo Wednesday. Once listed as one of the nation’s top prospects for the entering class of 2016, Diakite had been hoping to move up his enrollment to this year. “At this point, we are allowing the NCAA to evaluate Mamadi’s ability to be a member of the 2015 class instead of 2016,” Blue Ridge headmaster Trip Darrin wrote in an e-mail.
