Professor Chuck Stone taught to 'tell it like it is'

During my time at the university, Stone's larger-than-life character filled the corridors of the "J School." His funky, large-framed glasses, convertible cars, motorcycles, opulent bow ties and sharp wit made him a campus icon. He was one of my heroes for many reasons, but primarily because of how his approach to journalism emboldened students to listen without judgment and write without fear. (Lexington Dispatch)
