How Nolan Richardson blazed a trail to the Hall of Fame, one kicked-in door at a time

On Monday morning here, it was announced Nolan Richardson would be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. There isn't anyone in there who kicked the door of opportunity down with more force and less apology than Ole Mama's grandson. There also aren't many who came further out of the hole of improbability – from an America so different it's unrecognizable – to crash the gates of Springfield, Mass. (Yahoo! Sports)
