For Pitt basketball, new rules, roster force changes

The Pitt basketball program under Jamie Dixon has been built on tough man-to-man defense, rebounding and efficient offense. Two of those three pillars always will remain intact. Tuesday, however, the Panthers showed that the first one — tough man-to-man defense —might have to be modified at any given time, even though it will remain, as Dixon said, the team’s “bread and butter.”
