Tar Heel Golfers Tie for First at Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate

It took a scorecard playoff to take down the North Carolina men's golf team Sunday after a five-under 283 in the final round helped the Tar Heels move up from sixth into a first-place tie with Virginia Tech at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. With both teams tied at 12-under after the third round, the fifth player's score was used to decide the champion where the Hokies prevailed by a single stroke. (Tar Heel Blue)
