The history of UNC's athletics program turns a page Friday with the hiring of Lawrence 'Bubba' Cunningham to replace outgoing UNC AD Dick Baddour. An emergency session of the UNC Board of Trustees is scheduled for 9:00 am Friday morning, at which time Cunningham should be formally accepted as UNC's new Director of Athletics. And then at 11:00 am, there will be a press conference. (Tar Heel Illustrated)
