Tar Heels cruise into ACC soccer semifinals

Four different players scored to lead top-seeded North Carolina past eighth-seeded Virginia Tech 4-2 on the first day of the ACC women's soccer tournament at Wake Med Soccer Park on Wednesday. The Tar Heels will face Wake Forest, which beat Florida State, in the semifinals on Friday (5 p.m.). UNC dominated much of the game and held a 4-0 advantage in the second half.
