Economic woes halt addition to Kenan Stadium

One day, North Carolina will add club seats, luxury suites and a new academic center to the south side of Kenan Stadium. But construction won't start after the 2010 season, as was originally hoped. Because of the poor economy, UNC will delay the so-called "Phase II" of the stadium's renovation, Chancellor Holden Thorp and athletic director Dick Baddour told The News & Observer on Friday.
