From WWII to Wimbledon: Test pilot-turned-tennis champ Vic Seixas is turning 100

A champion of multiple major tennis tournaments who also flew over the Pacific as a U.S. Army Air Corps test pilot in World War II plans to celebrate his 100th birthday Wednesday. Vic Seixas, a Philadelphia native, was playing tennis at the University of North Carolina when the war broke out, he recalled during an interview from his home in San Francisco.
