The career path Arkansas head football coach Sam Pittman had long envisioned suddenly came to fruition. Butch Davis hired Pittman to join his staff at North Carolina in 2007. He spent five seasons at UNC then moved to Tennessee, Arkansas, and Georgia, where he earned the reputation as one of the game's best offensive line coaches and recruiters.
