UNC’s Austin O'Connor Wins 149-pound NCAA Wrestling Championship


As long as North Carolina Tar Heels wrestle, Austin O'Connor will be remembered. On Saturday, No. 2 ranked O'Connor (12-0) defeated No. 1 Sammy Sasso (13-0, Ohio State) 3-2 to win the 149-pound NCAA Championship. With the win, the redshirt junior becomes UNC's sixth National Champion and first since won the title in 1995. (Inside Carolina)
