Five Former UNC Women's Soccer Players Win 2019 World Cup

The United States defeated the Netherlands, coached by former UNC player Sarina Wiegman, 2-0 to win the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup on Sunday. It is the second World Cup victory for Tar Heels Tobin Heath and Ashlyn Harris, and the first for Crystal Dunn, Allie Long and Jessica McDonald. UNC led all colleges in 2019 U.S. World Cup selections. (UNC.edu)
