Injury Toll Hit UNC Football Hard in 2017

North Carolina’s 2017 football season will be remembered for its unprecedented personnel losses due to injury. There were 37 players, including 34 on scholarship, who missed games due to injury as the Tar Heels limped to a 3-9 record, marking UNC’s fewest wins since finishing with the same record in 2006. UNC lost 77 starts and 232 games due to injury in 12 contests.
