Six freshmen not practicing

Six incoming North Carolina freshmen did not report to campus on Thursday in anticipation of practice, which will begin this afternoon, a team spokesman said. Defensive linemen Darius Powell from Maryland and and Aleric Mullins from East Wake, Asheville running back Johnny White, and Fayetteville linebacker Wesley Flagg have not yet cleared the NCAA clearinghouse, and won't be allowed to practice until they do.
