UNC’s Goddard sees season end before it starts

Goddard broke the fifth metatarsal in his left foot during practice on Saturday. “We were doing flexibility drills,” Goddard said. “I stepped over a hurdle, kind of rolled it and I heard it pop. I was still able to walk with a limp, but they took me for X-rays as a precaution. “When it came back that I broke it, I just started crying. But I’ve talked with my mom and now I’m okay.”
