Turnovers plague otherwise decent debut for Tar Heels' Dailey

Monday, September 04, 2006

It was shaping up as a storybook ending for Joe Dailey: In his first start at North Carolina, and with time running out, he was going to march the Tar Heels downfield and eke out a victory over Rutgers. Then came his final pass. Dailey's underthrown attempt in the closing minutes was intercepted by Manny Collins just shy of the red zone, sealing the Scarlet Knights' 21-16 victory over North Carolina on Saturday.
