Tar Heels use bye week to stress defense

Almost every aspect of the Tar Heels' game needs improvement, but the defense will get full attention. The defense was expected to be improved this season but has surrendered 94 points and 1,025 yards in the past two games, one of which was against a Division I-AA team, Furman. Bunting has spoken to defensive coordinator Marvin Sanders about the unit's passive play.
