Melee puzzles Bunting Posted Nov 5, 2006 John Bunting said he wants an explanation on the personal-foul calls on two of his players that resulted from the fourth-quarter melee during the Tar Heels' 45-26 loss at No. 11 Notre Dame. With 12:41 left in the game and UNC trailing 38-26, Heels linebacker Durell Mapp pushed Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn out of bounds on the Fighting Irish sideline after a 4-yard run. It appeared to be a late hit, and at least one Notre Dame player pushed Mapp back. (Raleigh News & Observer)
