After taking hits early, UNC defense settles down to silence shootout

North Carolina had plenty of encouraging things to point to after Saturday's win. Its offense piled up staggering numbers. Its 635 total yards were the seventh-highest total in school history. But there were many aspects of the performance that left Tar Heels coach Larry Fedora irked. Perhaps the most galling stat was his team's 110 yards in penalties. (Fayetteville Observer)
