The impact of academic reputation in football recruiting

It's the age old question: Does high level academics help or hurt your school in recruiting? On one side of the argument is the fact that tough academic standards can limit who the admissions department can admit into the school. There are dozens of situations where a coaching staff cannot even recruit a certain prospect because his grades and test scores are too low.
