Andre Powell ready for Clemson's running stars
Posted Feb 2, 2007
Former North Carolina running backs coach Andre Powell made his way through wet, icy conditions to Clemson's campus Thursday, ready to start his new job as running backs coach. Powell expects an easier path handling the Tigers' star runners James Davis and C.J. Spiller, despite the duo's misgivings during the last few months. Davis complained about fewer carries as the season wore on while Spiller considered transferring closer to his Lake Butler, Fla., home.
