Tar Heel, Gamecock QBs share ties to both schools

Two North Carolina quarterbacks recruited heavily by the same schools will face off Thursday at Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium. Marquise Williams turned down overtures from South Carolina and head coach Steve Spurrier to play for North Carolina. Connor Mitch accepted the Spurrier-South Carolina option despite a deep connection with the Tar Heels while playing at Raleigh's Wakefield High.
