UNC defense struggles in Death Valley

Entering the game, the Tar Heels set to stop the run and force the freshman quarterback into making big plays through the air. From that standpoint, UNC succeeded in the game plan. The front seven limited Clemson to only 92 yards rushing and just 2.1 yards per carry. UNC’s gamble on an inexperienced quarterback turned out to be the most costly mistake of them all.
