Charlie “Choo Choo” Justice; the first North Carolina Superstar in football within the state who twice was runner up in the Heisman Trophy voting and won the 1948 Maxwell Award. He was a 1st team all-Southern Conference runner and led the Heels to three straight New Year’s Day bowls — when that meant something.
