These days, Joe Dailey is free. Free from being the scapegoat, free to do what he does best on the field. It's apparent in his outlook, and it's even more evident in his demeanor. Dailey walked around last season as if he were carrying a 300-pound defensive tackle on his back all the time. On Sunday at the ACC Football Kickoff gathering at Pinehurst Resort, he strolled about with a smile and enthusiastically spoke to the same reporters he tried to avoid last season.
