The most glamorous of the league coaching hires, Davis brings head coaching experience from the college and professional ranks to Chapel Hill. His 2000 team at the University of Miami played for a national championship and the players he recruited later won one with Larry Coker. Though his tenure with the Cleveland Browns was unsuccessful, Davis brings NFL recognition and fame. (Southern Pigskin)
