One of UNC's best passes away

Former North Carolina quarterback Nick Vidnovic died Thursday after a long battle with cancer. A wake and funeral for Vidnovic were held in Falls Church, Va., on Saturday. Vidnovic is remembered by many as the quarterback who, after a 1972 loss at then-No. 1 Ohio State, a game that featured the debut and game-saving talents of Buckeye Archie Griffith, vowed in front of reporters that Carolina would not lose again that year. It didn't.
