From the depths of ridicule lasting the better part of the decade, two bitter in-state rivals, who rarely meet on the gridiron, have seen their programs rise from the ashes bringing college football pride back to North Carolina. In the opening two weeks, a big-time fan atmosphere has returned to Chapel Hill and Greenville to go with outstanding on the field performances.
