Anthony Elzy gets chance to produce, then delivers

Anthony Elzy had waited long enough at UNC to play a big role in a big game. He wanted to help his team build in its first season under Coach Butch Davis and watching others play wasn’t what he had in mind. An opening came his way Saturday against Virginia Tech and Elzy seized it. He rushed for 74 yards, the most by a UNC tailback this season, and scored a touchdown, all done in the fourth quarter on 11 carries.
