Butch Davis could have used his Monday press conference to revel in his team’s upset of Miami on Saturday, which injected confidence into a program that was badly in need of it. Instead, Davis focused on the next opponent, No. 7 USC, and not just because it marks the return of old nemesis Steve Spurrier to the state of North Carolina.
