How UNC football sanctions affect Virginia, Virginia Tech

Given its long history of luring top prospects from our fair commonwealth, North Carolina’s scholarship reductions are welcome to Virginia and Virginia Tech. The Tar Heels simply won’t be able to pursue and offer as many prospects. North Carolina’s most recent recruiting class included no Virginia signees, but in 2011 the Tar Heels landed offensive lineman Landon Turner of Harrisonburg, linebacker Travis Hughes of Virginia Beach and defensive back Tim Scott of Stafford.
