Tar Heels set tone with win

Instead of letting the 2011 season slip away, the Tar Heels put together one of their best performances in a 49-24 homecoming victory against the Demon Deacons. In the process, they may have set the tone for a stretch run that could hold some intriguing possibilities. UNC struck for two early touchdowns to take the lead, then sealed a victory that makes it bowl eligible with a 21-point fourth quarter. (Fayetteville Observer)
