Thursday, December 06, 2007

North Carolina awoke from its recruiting slumber yesterday, making a major addition to its 2008 football class by receiving a commitment from running back Jamal Womble. Womble is a 5-10, 215-pound senior at Buena High School in Sierra Vista, Ariz., southeast of Tucson. Womble also considered Arizona State and South Carolina from more than 20 scholarship offers from major programs across the country. (Winston-Salem Journal)
