Bernard's run sparks Heels

When North Carolina's Bryn Renner unloaded the ball to tailback Gio Bernard midway through Saturday's second quarter, the quarterback glanced up the field, and figured the freshman would make a 10-yard gain. Then Bernard broke a tackle, slipped underneath a bevy of blockers, and rushed to the end zone for a 60-yard touchdown to give his team an eight-point cushion.
