Coach Bill's Video Evaluation: P.J. Hairston

Each day this week, former college basketball coach and Tar Heel Times contributor, Coach Bill, will offer his insights into several of UNC's top-rated basketball recruits. Today he analyzes 2011 UNC shooting guard commit P.J. Hairston (6-5, 215, Greensboro NC).
P.J. Hairston possesses multiple skill sets that translate well to college basketball. Hairston. has legitimate lift of the floor, a high, quick release and outstanding range from behind the 3-pt line that will allow him to shoot over or beyond college level wing players.
Hairston's athleticism also allows him to soar through the lane and dunk with one hand (and with extension). This kind of finishing ability will allow him to attack the rim against high-major college athletes. He already has above average strength which allows him to finish through contact.
Hairston also displays the appetite, athleticism and timing to be a quality off-the-ball shot blocker, similar to what Danny Green provided as a Wing player at UNC.
