Crazy ending provides fitting end to UNC’s chaotic season

The Tar Heels did what they’ve done since the opening day of practice in the face of an NCAA investigation, a rash of suspensions, an injury epidemic and an 0-2 start. They made the best of a bad situation. This time they it did by extending the game on a 39-yard field goal by Wilmington’s Casey Barth, then winning it on another, less dramatic kick two possessions later for a most improbable 30-27 double-overtime victory against the stunned Volunteers.
