Mark House finds a home as UNC’s long snapper

Some people play football for the glory and attention that it brings them. Mark House would just as soon nobody notices him while he’s out on the field. Such is the life of a long snapper. It’s a thankless assignment whose only job description, in the words of North Carolina coach Butch Davis, is “to be perfect every Saturday.” That’s a lot of pressure to put on anyone, especially a player who isn’t on scholarship.
