Hakeem Nicks identified by UNC for allegedly providing improper benefits to players

New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is one of five people named in a document to provide UNC football players with “impermissible gifts of cash and jewelry and impermissible assistance,” according to information released by UNC. The school said Nicks, who turned pro after his junior season at UNC in 2008, allegedly provided $3,300 to help “friends and fellow Tar Heels.”
