Football Recruiting News & Notes: October 30th

Here are a few miscellaneous UNC-related football recruiting news items from the last week that didn't make the headlines on Tar Heel Times:

Demetrious Nicholson, a 4-star cornerback target from Virginia Beach, Va. may be looking to stay in-state with Virginia and Virginia Tech near the top of his list.  UNC is considered the leader for Nicholson, but it still looks to be a close race at this point.

Here's a nice video profile on Nicholson containing interviews with Demetrious and his coach.  Nicholson is a true lock-down corner who has not allowed a receiver to catch a pass on him this year!

Nicholson will be visiting Virginia this weekend along with fellow UNC target and 4-star linebacker prospect .

2011 CB Dallas Crawford now appears out of the picture for UNC.  Crawford is listing favorites of Michigan, Miami, West Virginia, and Tennessee, according to the Detroit Free Press.

We've removed him from the UNC Recruiting Board as a result.

Keith Marshall, a 2012 5-star running back target from Raleigh's Millbrook High School, received a scholarship offer from Southern Cal this week. Marshall isn't listing any favorites at this point, but he has quite the impressive highlight video (warning: turn down the volume if you're not into rap music).  Marshall has blazing speed.
