Cam Thomas' goal: 'Just do better than the combine'

The atmosphere at UNC's Pro Timing Day was more subdued on Tuesday than it was a year ago when first-round draft pick Hakeem Nicks worked out for NFL scouts. And it likely was quieter than it will be a year from now when at least five defensive player could be taken in the first couple of rounds. But 14 recent UNC players still jumped, did bench presses and ran in hopes of improving their chances of playing in the NFL.
