Buckeyes make an impression with Gideon Ajagbe
Posted Feb 18, 2009
Florida has company in the pursuit of ESPNU150 Watch List linebacker/safety Gideon Ajagbe, according to those at the event familiar with his recruitment.
The 6-2, 210-pounder likes the Gators, Ohio State and North Carolina. Buckeyes head coach Jim Tressel came to Ransom Everglades High School to check on Ajagbe and, according to observers at the school, did an outstanding job, raising the Buckeyes' chances.
Tar Heels recruiter Charlie Williams has done a good job establishing a relationship with Ajagbe and UNC is right in the thick of it as well. Florida, though, is still the clear team to beat.
